The Let’s Get Online campaign aims for everyone in Scotland to have the basic online skills and confidence they need to participate in the digital world. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the benefits of being online and encourages people to seek out learning opportunities to help them get online.

Let’s Get Online team will visit towns and cities across Scotland from 31st May until 22nd July offering free, one-to-one, informal, drop-in sessions on how to get online and the benefits the internet can bring.

To support the campaign, BIG have sourced case studies from across the country to tell their stories of how they got online. Bill Gardener, 81, from Selkirk attended the Scottish Borders Council’s Tea and Tablet classes at the local school, where he learnt basic IT skills, how to use a tablet and how the internet could benefit his everyday life including learning how to use email and shop online.
